Guest Interview – Video Game Designer, Programmer and Poet – Walid Chekkouri
Hi, great to chat! Please give my readers a quick introduction to you, where you live and what you do
My name is Walid Chekkouri, I’m from Morocco.
I am a sophomore at the International University of Rabat studying computer science. I’m a video game designer and software programmer, I’m also an amateur writer, poet and photographer.
Something you love about your home town, and why people should come visit
My hometown is actually Riyadh in KSA, a city that’s not only the capital of Saudi Arabia but also a region that prides itself on having an international flavor and centuries-old traditions.
What do you wish you knew when you were a teenager
The fact that success is not a mountain to climb, the only mountain standing in my way is my own doubts, and I’ll excavate tunnels to make my own path.
Would you tell us about something or someone in your life, that motivates you each day?
It definitely took so much more than me to get to this point of my life, I’ve been surrounded by guardian angels, and my mother is the person I draw inspiration from because she is the best person in my life.
Who is one of your online mentors, why they inspire you and how can people find them
I’ve just started writing a poetry collection book about a year ago and I couldn’t find a person who has the open mind and legit skills to give me some feedback about my work more than Christie Adams. She has the ingenuity and tact to help me convey emotions from my words. She offered me the helping hand when needed.

How do you keep fit and healthy
I’m a huge fan of Pro wrestling, I watch it on a weekly basis, it helps me to work out in the morning and before I sleep (twice a day). It’s one thing to be motivated, but it’s an other thing to stay motiviated
