I’m so lucky to have found Photowall. It’s a Swedish company, which as a European at heart was good to hear. We all know Swedish design is beautiful and iconic.

The great thing about Photowall is that you can buy their wonderful artwork, murals and pictures. Or you can send your own designs and they’ll make up your room size wallpaper mural!

How cool is that?

You might be thinking you’ll need to invest in a professional decorator too, and that could be the case, depending where you decorate, and how big your mural is. BUT we did it on our own and it was remarkably easy.

Mainly because the product is such high quality.

To illustrate how easy the whole process is, I took photos along the way. Now if you’ve ever decorated with three young children around you’ll know you do it in and around them.

The Hard Part

Choosing the design.

Boy, there are so many beauties, this was a struggle, but eventually we settled on a Princess Castle. With a two year old to please, even that was a tough choice but finally we went for it.

Packing and Unwrapping

After the order the mural arrived by courier. I was slightly concerned at how small the box was, but it was heavy too. As a budding eco warrior I’m glad they minimise packaging, the mural was rolled tightly and in tissue. 

The paste and clear instructions all included. 

Preparation 

We took off the loose paper and sealed the rest. It was in fab condition, if not I’d strip the whole wall. 

Sneaky Peak

It’s like the law of exciting jobs that you take a peak at the product. We unrolled the mural. It came in one long roll, to our measurements. 

Tip: Take time to get your measurements right, and don’t forget most house walls aren’t square or even straight so allow for that!

Cutting

You need good scissors to cut the high quality thick paper on the pre marked lines. As you can see each strip was clearly marked.

We were honestly so impressed with how easy they made it! 

Hanging

Follow the instructions and yes as with everything it’s easier with two people. You glue the wall so the paper could easily get stained or stick if you were doing it alone so forewarned. 

Finishing

We trimmed the edges last, old houses, uneven edges etc.

Then stood back and admired our handiwork.

It looks amazing. Above all the quality is excellent, thick paper, a brilliantly clear image and not a bubble in sight!

Wow, well what can I say about this awesome product!

I can’t recommend this highly enough! They don’t just do wallpaper either!
