Are you ready to go?

1

Why? It’s new technology. It’s growing. It’s getting more popular. Just accept it and go with it.

Listen to your genre that you write on audible or on an audio book.

You will get the idea of the best sellers and what your readers want to hear, and what you need to write

3

Read your own work out loud, scary eh, but it’ll give you a really good idea of whether your work sounds anything like the best sellers work

4

Think about when you write and where’s your punctuation. Are you using any?

Some books don’t use any, it’s really hard to read, but punctuation is even more important with audio

5

Names. I’ve discovered this not a good idea to have a three syllable name when you’re trying to dictate. And it certainly won’t work for audio books.

Think about the names that you’re given your characters. Are they easy to recognise? Easy to read? Easy to hear and differentiate between the two?

6

Dictation. Use dictation to write, even if you only use little snippets, it really helps with your conversation.

And it really helps you to nail the word count, and helps it sound right for audio

7

Voice lessons. Why don’t have some voice lessons? I’m going to have some! Voice acting, get it right.

Have a go with audio.
