You’ve seen the headlines. Heard they are massively damaging to the planet. Know they are full of scammers. You aren’t going to learn about them. They’ll soon disappear again. Sorry, but that’s not good enough.
You sit on a park bench, get a flash of inspiration, and start scribbling. You got the most brilliant of all unique story ideas, ever. This book, your story, is so unique you’ve literally never seen or read anything like it. This book has to be written. Stop.
Why Do You Want to Write?
My basic business planning book will take you from a blank page to a basic plan. It’s not rocket science. It’s for those of you who want to turn pro but haven’t got a clue where to start.
Sex work of any kind, writing included, is sometimes belittled or looked down on with a judgmental, often censorial view. Trolls can emerge, but you might be surprised by how supportive the entire community is too.
Two major publishing wide platforms have announced a merger. The technology of one was better, hurrah it’ll all rise to the better standard, we hope. The erotica writers who were avoiding one platform because of its perceived lack of reach or support of their genre are less keen. Could the merged platform go with the more censorious approach? Only time will tell.
The definition of a midlife crisis is a transition of identity and self-confidence that can occur in middle-aged individuals, typically 45 to 65 years old. A psychological ‘crisis’ brought about by events that highlight a person’s growing age, inevitable mortality, and possibly lack of accomplishment in their life.
I love that literally anyone, or any race, gender, culture and age writing any genre, niche topic or story can get their work into the hands of others.
My first piece of advice to someone who wants to write, start a business, change their life, is to get a notebook. It made sense to start my own notepad and journal merch / product line.
This action-packed children’s book is perfect for ocean and sea loving kids. It’s packed with fun puzzles, colouring pages and other brain teasing adventures.
When I suggested this project to my grand babies, the first thing they asked for ‘why?’ I saw confusion flash across their faces when I said ‘for fun’, but they immediately want to take part. The small things in life don’t have to cost money or make money.
We can save money and resources by reusing, recycling, redesigning, but to me it’s more than that. It’s seeing the beauty and use in the small things.
Life is full of opportunities but also bumps in the road. Things that push us off track and hold us back. Procrastination or fear? I’d known in the back of my mind what the problem was, but kept brushing it aside, making excuses.
We must overcome our fear of letting go of things.
Allow ourselves time to indulge our creativity, to nourish ourselves physically and spiritually and share our gift and joy with our community.
PLEASE don’t sign up for things without really digging deep and finding out your options.
I love to pick specific global communities to support workers in a country of my choice. This ties in with my ethics policy of giving back.
The temptation when you reach midlife is to look back at what you’ve achieved.
That’s great. If you’ve achieved things, fantastic.
But those days have been and gone. They’re behind you. It’s time now to look forward.
No more ‘rose-coloured glasses’ conversations that begin with ‘Do you remember when…’
The power is already there, and it’s really important that we make sure that we use these voice technologies, our voices contribute to them. The more voices they hear, the more diverse voices they hear.
You can now read my new thriller
I’ve really enjoyed getting to know more about them in their second darker investigation in the Burned Series Book Two.
And of course imagine myself pounding the streets of my beloved Sheffield landscape.
You know I love books, but some are more influential (dangerous?) than others.
You know I’m a book lover, I feel passionate about them. I truly believe, I know, reading can boost your mental wellbeing.
